HealthyPeople was launched by Dennis Hosking at the Melbourne Fitness Expo in November 2005. The HealthyPeople concept (of providing a forum for the promotion of professionals) is a result of Dennis’ own experiences as a manager trying to find staff for various health and fitness industry positions. Even with the presence of ‘industry specific job advertisers’ finding staff was often costly, ineffective and time consuming. There was no question as to whether it could be done better, it was simply a matter of how.

The HealthyPeople mission is clear; to provide more opportunities for health and fitness professionals and a higher calibre of candidate for health and fitness employers. We will continue to do this by giving employers greater access to pre-screened candidates without the need to advertise and through the delivery of advertised job details directly to appropriately qualified and experienced professionals.
