Feedback from some employers is that there are candidates nominating areas to work that are a long way from where they live. In response to this we've added a new feature to the HealthyPeople candidate registration process. It is now a requirement that all candidates provide their suburb. This suburb is now included with their contact details on their HealthyPeople listing. At a glance, you can now see whether the candidate lives locally or otherwise. While talking about getting people in your area, don't forget that candidates are able to search for your business, view your 'Employer profile' and send you an application at any time, regardless of whether you are currently advertising. For more information head to your 'Update registration' area or contact me directly. Shaun McVicar from Fernwood replied:"The additional info is great but would it also be possible to include the suburb in the email to subscribers that you send around each time a new potential employee lists. This avoids us wasting our time going onto the website to review (it would also be great if your emails said if they were male or female - it is not always clear! from the name)."Yes, including the suburb in the email is possible. I will look at having this sorted sooner rather than later. Inclusion of gender is likely in the near future. D.

I'm pleased to say that the suburb the candidate lives in is now included in the email that is sent to employers when the candidate is listed. (Boo-Yah!)
